Our new service - FH&G Energy - has been developed specifically to help clients deal with the impact of the new EPBD rules and to deliver EPC and DEC certification.

The Energy team is trained and accredited to levels 3 and 4, and works with clients to help them understand when certificates will be required and to what level.

Level 3 accreditation covers surveys of simple properties with common characteristics.

Level 4 accreditation covers all buildings both new and existing using Simplified Building Energy Model (SBEM) methodology - a tool that has been developed by the Building Research Establishment (BRE).

At FH&G we have access to a nationwide network of assessors, so you can be sure that your requirements will be dealt with speedily and at a local level.

In addition to the required certification, you will also receive a set of recommendations on how to improve the efficiency of your property. Buildings currently account for 50% of the UK’s carbon emissions, so this could provide an opportunity for you to improve your carbon footprint and save money at the same time.
